October 12

"On the Table"...Well my first thought was dinner should be on the table. :)  More often than not what is on my table shows the happenings of the day, then it all gets cleared off for dinner.  Today we have a few gifts that were purchased at target and need to be wrapped for distribution next week. Hannah's keys etc. from after school and also her warm clothes pile ready to go to the Homecoming game tonight. My bill folder is there, my to-do-today list, an article I plan to read, and sloppy joe buns waiting for dinner to happen. Some days there is more stuff and some less, but the table is the hub of activity at our house.

October 11

"Close up" is the photo topic today.  This is a little spider and web created by one of my children and a tiny shrinky-dink jack-o-lantern recently made by Katie.  They are sitting at the base of my Halloween tree this year. :)

Interesting that the photo topic for today is "emotion".  My Grandma Thompson passed away early this morning. Sad news for all of us, yet happy for her.  She is with Grandpa now.  The photo is of Grandma and Oliver, she was so excited to be able to see her great, great grandson.  I love you Grandma, I've learned a lot from you, I'll miss you.

"Red" is the photo topic for today.  We went to the Hogle Zoo today and both Katie and Kirsten had on their red shoes:)  Too cute.  It was a beautiful day to go to the zoo, we wandered and had lunch and just enjoyed each others company.  I'm so thankful for my family and for the time we spend together. "Angle" is the photo of the day topic. I figure Oliver is sitting at a 90 degree angle so he is my photo for today:) He loved the pumpkin we got at Reams tonight and wanted to sit by it and pat it.  He is so much FUN!

The photo topic for today is "Light".  The first thing I thought of is Jesus Christ is the Light of the World.  General Conference was wonderful again today! There were lots of comments about being a desciple of Christ and about how the Atonement can heal us.

"I'm thankful for..."my membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints!  I am so thankful for General Conference, for the spirit that it brings into our home and for the guidance of our church leaders.
