MAYHAM

Hey everybody! How was your Christmas? I had a wonderful Christmas. I got a ton of cool stuff. I got a new outfit, a hymn book with my name on it, and a brand new amazingly gorgeous violin with a shoulder rest! I also got PURPLE sheets, LIME GREEN and PURPLE nail polish, and a pretty gray sweater that came with a yellow green beaded bracelet. Grandma T hand painted a drawing book with a picture of a moon on it that is also really pretty, and I got an Aeropostale teddy bear. Kirsten sewed me a purse made out of this blue flowery print fabric and I love it soooo much! Nathan gave me this HUGE drawing book it is like 25" tall and like 13" wide it is sooo cool!! Katie made me pajama pants that are really soft and I also got a book, a necklace, bobby pins, candy, socks, a cd and of course all of the stuff from both of my grandparents Christmas parties. So as you can tell I have had a very wonderful Christmas!

MAYHAM

Thanksgiving for me was super fun. I played with my cousins, ate a LOT of food, played with my cousins some more, and then went home and collapsed on my bed. On Friday me my mom and my sister went back to my grandmas house to help my aunt Liz with the quilts she is making for her kids for Christmas. It was a lot of fun because I got to play with my cousins two days in a row. Today I went over to my neighbor Julie's with some hand gluing jobs. Now I will finally have enough money to buy Christmas presents!!! YaY!!! Any way I finished crocheting, stuffing, and sewing the eyes on my ugly doll today also. I think it turned out pretty cute for an ugly doll. Here are some pictures of him wandering around the house. ♥/ MAYHAM

Thanksgiving

Today the girls and I made pumpkin pies for Thanksgiving. Our house smells so good! There ended up being thirteen pies. Yum! While baking the pies we made pineapple slush for our family to enjoy over the holidays.

MAYHAM

Hello! This is your guest blogger! Today I will be telling you why I picked the name MAYHAM as the title of my posts. Well the MAY part is for my middle name and the HAM part is because when I was on the accademic team at my school last year my team shirt said HAM on it. The word HAM for me stands for my First, Last, and then Middle names. In other words HAM. So there you go. That is the meaning of MAYHAM. Hope you enjoy reading my moms blog and the random comments that I put on. Thank you for reading have a great Thanksgiving!

Well I'm back from my full body massage. Very relaxing, something I could probably get used to doing, but a little pricy for my budget. Thank you Thayne's work for pampering me.
Thayne and I are in St. George for a couple of days for a work thing. We got to visit Liz for a few minutes and see her cute new house. She is a busy woman so that may be all I get to see of her until Thanksgiving! We ate at The Painted Pony last night, until about 10:00 p.m., it was really a fun dinner but really late. Today I went with one of the other wives and we hit a bunch of fabric stores. That was a lot of fun and what I thought was going to be a long day doing nothing while Thayne golfed, turned out to go by really fast. They told us last night that work would pay for the wives to have a spa treatment while the men were golfing. This same lady and I were a little leary about it, but this morning we decided it would be something new we should try. So we made an appointment. We're going over to do that at 3:00 so hopefully it turns out ok. I hardly ever try new things so this is a leap for me! T.

We had a work day and Teresa showed us how to make this fun table runner. I did not have time to go to the fabric store and so this was my "dig through what I have" selection of fabrics. I really love it! It was really fun and easy to put together. It is so unusual for me to actually finish a project :)

I also made four, count them, four apple pies that same evening. Before I could get a picture of them one was being eaten and another had been taken over to the church for bishopric meetings. Yum.

Family pictures today! We were scrambling last night to try and
figure out what we were all going to wear. I like everyone to be
color coordinated. We decided to include the dogs in the picture too.
We helped clean Kirsten's house and after they pulled all the old carpet out
I spent quite a while pulling staples out of the floor. Busy day.

Keyki and I have had a quiet day today. We went on a walk this morning and have pretty much just puttered around cleaning
and washing laundry all day. I dropped off some cleaning supplies at Kirsten's new house.
YES she was able to get in yesterday! I have to say "get in" because there were no keys, they ended up having to
break the lock off the door to get in. Someone called the police on them.
I said that was a good thing because it means the neighbors are watching out for each other.
Anyway, I will be gone with Thayne to a work dinner and will not be able to help clean tonight, which is why I was
dropping off the cleaning supplies. Luckily no one called the police on me:)
I was doing so well and then I totally forgot to post yesterday!
Oh well, lots of life was happening and that is good.
I went out to lunch with my mom and sisters. We went to the Gardner Village,
had lunch and wandered the shops a little. It was really a nice afternoon.
We saw a wonderful table runner in one of the shops which inspired us to create our own.
That will be a project for November.

I'm posting late tonight. We just got home from the girls tennis banquet for Katie.
She earned her Varsity Letter for tennis! Great job!

Thayne is still home sick today. I've been busy washing and doing basic after weekend cleanup.
Today I have a Cyprus Community Council meeting.
It's just a once a month meeting, but it helps me feel like I'm doing something
to be involved there this year.

These are the potions from our family Halloween party. So spooky!
We all had a great time, although Thayne has a fever today which started
as we were getting ready to go home. He has just slept all day long.

Saturday, October 17, 2009

I've been getting ready for the family Halloween party most of the morning. We made rice krispy treats, yum, yum!

Friday, October 16, 2009

I really enjoy Fridays. The day just seems to go slower and be more relaxed than
other days. We purchased and installed a back porch light tonight. The old one has been broken
for a while and with it being dark so much earlier now it's a little scary to take Keyki out to do her business.
Now we have light!

Thursday, October 15, 2009

I made a lovely potato cheese soup last night using Teresa's recipe.
Everyone ate it without much complaining and there were even a few compliments.
I call that a success.
I've been gathering random items to put in potion jars for our family Halloween party.
I'm so excited to see how these turn out.

Hurray! I'm so glad you came to look at my blog.
My internet was down all day today so I was starting to worry that I wouldn't be able to post today.
I spent most of the day at school helping with all of the "Reflections" contest entries.
Poor Keyki, in the kennel again.

This is the picture Nathan entered.

This is Katie's picture.

Today was a blustery day. I love to drive through the leaves when they're blowing all over the road.

PTSA

I had a PTSA meeting today, it went way longer than I had hoped. Now my brain hurts and I think I need a nap.
There are a lot of things to keep track of when you are the PTSA President.

My thought for the day is to stop eating candy corn, stop wondering what to do, and just do something!

Rain, Glorious Rain. Hannah took the puppy for a walk this morning in the rain so that I wouldn't have to.
Many thanks to her.
