Prom

Tonight is Prom for both of my lovely young women.  Their older sister did some magic with each of their hair, and isn't this lucky little man darling. They do grow up too fast! Great times:)

Apron Swap!

So, I received my wonderful apron from my swap buddy Catherine, who lives in Australia, about a week and a half ago!  I'm just now finding taking some time to post the picture of it.  It is so much fun, I love it!  I hope you can see from the picture that it has a dishtowel sewn right into it, what a clever idea.  It is perfect for me because I'm always tucking a dishtowel into my apron pocket. Thank you Catherine!

Apron Swap

I finished my apron for the apron swap! I'm swapping with Catherine from Australia.  I'm so excited to receive something in the mail from Australia! Michele gave us the heads up about the swap, it was sponsored by Rhonda from  http://down---to---earth.blogspot.com/ , her blog is about loving your home and living simply. Anyway, my apron will be in the mail tomorrow on it's way to Catherine.  I hope she loves it.

Spring Break

Spring Break!  Hannah took this photo of us!  She is amazing at doing this self photo thing, she never cuts anyones head off even though she can't see what she's aiming at with the camera.  Too cool!  We flew to sunny Florida for Spring Break this year and went to Universal Studios.  Our visit was mostly to see the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in the Islands of Adventure part of the park.  SO MUCH FUN!  We spent three days all over the park but ended each day in Hogsmead.  We enjoyed a butterbeer each day, I recommend getting it frozen:)  On our second day we had breakfast at the Three Broomsticks, Katie had a butterbeer for breakfast that day too.  I tried the pumpkin juice and it was lovely!  We drove to the Gulf coast and watched the sunset at Indian Rocks beach one day, and another day we drove to the opposite coast and toured St. Augustine.  It was a great week!

Bountiful Baskets

We ordered a basket from Bountiful Baskets this week.  Today was pick up day and our basket was awesome!  For our $15.00 we got: a pineapple, 6 bananas, 3 cucumbers, a bunch of kale, romaine lettuce, 3 packages of blueberries, asparagus, 6 apples, 7 oranges, 8 carrots, 9 chili peppers, 2 bunches of green onions, and 19 orange, yellow & red sweet peppers!  It's fun to see what we're going to get and a good oportunity to try different foods...now what to do with the kale.

Thursday Thought

Thayne is always telling me to just "let go of it (whatever IT is at the moment), and move on" :)

Yup, my childhood is over. I'm a grown-up woman now and I'm in charge of my life!  I LOVE my life!
